A researcher at the Davis Institute for International Relations and the Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University, and a research fellow at the Hebrew University Cyber Security Research Center (HCASRC). In addition, he serves as Cyber Defense Policy Coordinator at the Ministry of Defense and as an advisor to the Israel National Cyber Directorate. Dr. Shniak holds a PhD in Political Science from the Hebrew University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Science, Technology, and Society (STS) program at the Harvard Kennedy School. His research focuses on the political and social aspects of security technologies, particularly the development of cyber warfare and defense capabilities in Israel and worldwide.
