Dr. Roy Amsalem teaches a course on Business Continuity in the program, together with Mr. Noam Unger. His doctoral dissertation (2022) focused on social and political issues reflected in the digital cultural productions of young Palestinian creators in the West Bank. Roy has over a decade of experience as an advisor on Palestinian affairs in COGAT (IDF), where he held a wide range of positions.
Today, he serves in two key roles in kibbutzim in the Gaza Envelope. First, he is the Chair of the Community Association at Kibbutz Or HaNer, where he resides. In this role, he was part of the leadership team that guided the community of Or HaNer through the extended evacuation period and the process of returning home. Second, Roy is a Project Manager at Kibbutz Kissufim, where he contributes to the rehabilitation and development of the kibbutz’s businesses, which were damaged on October 7 and have not yet been fully restored.
