Drimmer–Fischler Family Stem Cell Lab for Regenerative Medicine Inauguration

Regenerative medicine is one of the most revolutionary and high-potential areas in contemporary biomedical research.

The ability to heal damaged or diseased organs by encouraging the renewal of our body’s tissues – or even by creating entire organs that are tailored to the patient – presents us with tantalizing possibilities: It will facilitate entirely new capabilities to treat devastating diseases, provide a solution to the acute lack of organs available for transplanting, and increase the chances of enhancing quality of life and, indeed, extending life expectancy.

Against this backdrop, Tel Aviv University (TAU) is leading a revolution in regenerative medicine research. And now, to significantly enhance regenerative medicine research and teaching conducted across campus, we established the Drimmer family through the Drimmer-Fischler Family Stem Cell Core Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine.

The center promotes innovative research and development, and is training the next generation of specialists to lead the field and promote drug testing and life-saving treatments for diverse diseases.
