TAU Celebrates 361 New PhDs, Led by the Gray Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences

Tel Aviv University proudly awarded doctoral degrees to 361 researchers last week, recognizing academic excellence and groundbreaking contributions across all faculties.
Among this year's graduates:

188 women and 173 men

The youngest recipient: Dr. Benjamin Sorkin, age 23, who completed a direct PhD track in Chemistry

The oldest recipient: Dr. Chaim Strauss, age 79, who earned his doctorate from the School of Jewish Studies and Archaeology

11 graduates of TAU’s prestigious MD-PhD program, training the next generation of physician-scientists
-
68 outstanding students who completed the competitive direct PhD track
Leading the list this year was the Gray Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences, with an impressive total of 72 PhD recipients — the highest among all TAU faculties. The Sackler Faculty of Exact Sciences followed with 66 graduates, and the Entin Faculty of Humanities with 65.
