Prof. Alon Kalron Promoted to Full Professor

Prof. Alon Kalron, PhD, PT, Head of the Department of Physical Therapy at the School of Health Professions and affiliated with the Sagol School of Neuroscience, has been promoted to the rank of Full Professor.

Prof. Kalron completed his undergraduate studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and earned his Master’s and PhD degrees at Tel Aviv University. He also served as Head of the Physical Rehabilitation Research Unit at the Multiple Sclerosis Center at Sheba Medical Center, Israel.

Prof. Kalron is a principal investigator in the Movement and Brain Interaction Research Lab. His research focuses on disentangling the multifactorial contributors to mobility decline through the integration of behavioral, psychological, and biomechanical assessments.

His current projects combine advanced technologies — including virtual reality platforms, telerehabilitation systems, and real-time neuroimaging — with traditional physical therapy approaches to better understand how people with multiple sclerosis move, think, and adapt.
