

Prof. (Emeritus) Yona Keisari
Prof. Yona Keisari is an Israeli immunologist and cancer researcher, and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in immunology from Tel Aviv University and conducted postdoctoral research at the U.S. National Cancer Institute.
At Tel Aviv University, Prof. Keisari built a distinguished academic career focused on the immunology of cancer and the development of innovative cancer therapies.
His research has centered on in-situ tumor ablation techniques that integrate radiotherapy, electrochemical methods, chemotherapy, and immunostimulation to enhance anti-tumor immune responses.
He has co-authored over 100 scientific articles, served in leadership roles within professional societies, and mentored many graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Prof. Keisari is also co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of the radiotherapy company Alpha Tau Medical, advancing novel treatments for solid tumors.
