

Prof. Udi Qimron
Prof. Udi Qimron is a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, in the Department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology.
His research focuses on molecular microbiology and bacterial immune systems, particularly the CRISPR-Cas system and bacteriophage engineering.
He completed his PhD at Ben-Gurion University in microbiology and immunology, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
Prof. Qimron's work has contributed to our understanding of bacterial-virus interactions and has led to several innovations in the fight against antibiotic resistance.
He has published extensively in top-tier journals including Nature, Cell, PNAS, and Molecular Cell, and has received major grants from the European Research Council, Israel Science Foundation, and other funding bodies.
He serves on editorial boards, reviews for leading scientific journals, and holds multiple patents related to phage therapy and genetic engineering.
