Prof. (Emeritus) Ronit Sagi-Eisenberg

Ronit Sagi-Eisenberg is a full Professor at Tel Aviv University, and former Head of the school of Graduate Studies. She received her B.Sc. in Chemistry and Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Weizmann Institute of Science and a visiting fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA.

She has authored 95 publications and founded two spin-off companies. 

Her research laboratory conducts basic research aimed at elucidating the mechanisms underlying the pathophysiological roles of mast cells in disorders such as allergies, neuroinflammation, and chronic inflammatory conditions associated with cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.

By integrating functional genomics with high-resolution microscopy, her work focuses on identifying molecular targets that regulate mast cell secretion of inflammatory mediators and exosomes and evaluating how these processes are influenced by aging.
