TAU develops bioengineered skin that can speed healing

In response to wartime needs and the growing number of burn victims, researchers from Tel Aviv University and Sheba Medical Center have developed an innovative bioengineered skin graft made from patients’ own cells. The new graft significantly speeds up healing and may improve recovery outcomes for both soldiers and civilians.
The TAU research team includes Prof. Lihi Adler-Abramovich, Dana Cohen-Gerassi, Dr. Amit Sitt, Prof. Itzhak Binderman, Prof. Yosi Shacham-Diamand, Tomer Reuveni, and Offir Loboda.
